Derbyshire Blue John reversible pendant and chain. Featuring a heart shape, and set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John on the front, and malachite on the back. This pendant is set on a 20″ sterling silver curb chain, with a bolt ring fasten. Beautifully handcrafted in Sheffield, England.
Blue John stone is a rare, semi-precious mineral fluorite, found only at one location in the world, Treak Cliff Cavern, at the Western end of Hope Valley, near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Malachite is a spiritual stone, known for its green colours, and swirls. This stunning stone is considered to be a stone of transformation, used for deep energy cleaning, bringing healing and positive transformation. Malachite is thought to stimulate the heart chakra, and protects the wearer from negative energies.
